Blazing

wandering listlessly

through the mist

the snow queen

realizes she is

melting

searching ceaselessly

for colder climes

the hem of

her white dress

dissolving

floundering feverishly

a flow of

ice trails follow

her morose meanderings

pooling

perspiring profusely

she falls to

the ground weeping

the sun’s rays

beating

begging silently

for a miracle

a snowstorm, blizzard

anything cold, frozen

chilling

crumbling hopelessly

i’m melting, she

declares again and

again to no one,

whispering

lying formlessly

feeling the sun

beat down upon

her liquefied remains

scorching

giving selflessly

apollo revives her

reforming her in

his own image

burning

rising soundlessly

no longer pale,

sickly and wan

arms raised high

worshiping

singing wordlessly

head thrown back

blonde tresses against

her golden gown

glowing

alive

warm

blazing
